YOUTHS OF EXCELLENCE  

Both Apostle (Dr.) Gordon Osagiede and his wife Apostle (Mrs.) Eunice Gordon entered into a relationship with Jesus in their youth and so they are passionate about young people also having the same experience.  They birthed the vision of the Youth of Excellence, which was officially commissioned and inaugurated in August 1999 at the National Youth Convention of Spirit & Life Bible Church and Godhead Prayer Ministry.

The Youth of Excellence has a vision to turn millions of hearts of young people unto righteousness, teaching Youths, Teenagers and Children to cultivate an Excellent Spirit in all things.  The Youth of Excellence scripture focus for global vision is from 1 Timothy 4:12Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

It is a vision built upon the principles of:

The Priority of Purity,

                                                Non-Conformity to worldly standards,

                                                Academic Excellence/career focus,

                                                Excellence for all standards of living.

A Youth of Excellence according to Apostle (Dr.) Gordon E. Osagiede is a youth who is:

Ex - Exemplary

                                    C- Consecrated

                                    E- Equipped

                                    L- Loving

                                    L- Longsuffering

                                    E- Enlightened

                                    N- New Creature

                                    C- Champion

                                    E- Enthusiastic.

The motto is Champions of Righteousness, Looking good and godly.

The Youth of Excellence Fellowship meets weekly to receive the word of God, praise and worship God, share testimonies, and discuss topics that affect their lives.  They have their own approved teaching instructions that is used worldwide. 

Youths of Excellence/ singles camp retreat

The Youths of Excellence hold an annual camp retreat meeting for singles at the Headquarters at GICC in Nigeria.  The youths are divided into three groups- young youths, mature (preparing for marriage) and peculiar (those either previously married, or a single parent) for teaching, discipleship, counselling and prayers.  As members make restitution, restoration takes place and youths sign up for Kingdom service.

Undergraduate & Graduate Conferences

The Youth of Excellence fellowship is active in post secondary and university campuses (Godhead Campus Fellowship) and each year the Undergraduates and Graduates have a conference at the Headquarters at GICC in Nigeria.  This is a time for students to come together and be uplifted and encouraged through the word of God.  They learn how to overcome the challenges that they face at university in terms of cults, exam malpractice, peer pressure, relationships with the opposite sex, etc.  The teachings, discipleship, counselling and prayers are an enlightening and refreshing time for all in attendance.  As youths make restitution, many victorious testimonies are recorded.
